Seeing as I’ll be working to a deadline soon I figured I need to be faster on the graphics tablet so from today I’m going to try do a practice piece like this every day.
Today’s installment is Mary Marvel a character I’ve never really read, besides her appearance in the awesome I can’t believe its not justice mini, and yet like the rest of the Captain Marvel (Shazam!) Family I have enormous affection for.
Anyway Mary Marvel is supposed to be a teenager (or an idealized version of a teenager when she transforms into Mary Marvel) so I originally went for modeling her on Dianna Agron but she looked far too old, so I ditched the whole idea of her being a “tv teenager” and tried to make her look more age appropriate. I think she ended up looking a little like a cross between Miley Cyrus and Chloe Moretz, with legs that are just a little too short.
