Some thoughts after my trip back to Ireland:
‘You can’t go home again’ Thomas Wolfe.
Dublin is dirtier and more heroin-junkie filled than it used to be.
Irish girls have orange faces and dress terribly.
I love the banter. I will forever miss random people in a shop joining in in communal remarks.
You’d realise the recession wasn’t such a big deal if you just SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT.

Amy I love you but man oh man I hate that attitude. You’re not a single mother, you’re not from a marginalised community, you’re not dealing with being told that your severely autistic child doesn’t qualify as disabled anymore, the recession wasn’t such a big deal to you because you haven’t been on the receiving end of it.
